Designing with all 5 senses
A Sensory Experience Workshop For the Fashion Industry
Can we try to imagine how activating OUR senses with the use of new technology can inspire a new breed of fashion for everyone?
When we talk about diversity and inclusivity although using plus sized models and ensuring that sizing and proper fit for people of all shapes and sizes is imperative, and this is currently going a tremendous transformation, I want to focus our discussion today about how using your 5 senses as a guide together with technology you can create new garments, accessories and collections that are for everyone. We can create inspiration for new products, services and experiences with all five senses of touch, taste, smell, sound and sight.

A Sense of OUTDOORS
The sense of the OUTDOORS is an hands on multi sensorial workshop that aims to crowd-source input and encourage a multi-sensorial interaction with our environment
Join Stephan Clambaneva, Design Innovation Director, for a workshop that aims to understand and explore how outdoor lovers like us experience nature, what makes these experiences unique and how we can use these to create new sensory interactions with our environment. We will explore how we can create richer interactions consciously utilizing our five human senses of touch, taste, smell, sound and sight. Using our five senses and the great outdoors as the backdrop, we will be creating a collective representation of how we sense multi-sensorially. This workshop is, above all, a sensory exploration through collective and associative storytelling. Ask yourself: How do our senses create associations, memories and stories about your favorite spot, and why are they each so unique to you? By sharing personal sensory experiences of your own—that recently inspired you or represents a memorable time for you—you will collectively create, emphasize and translate this personal experience into a new multi-sensorial opportunity for others to enjoy.
